At our clinic in Dunedin we can diagnose and treat corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, bunions, warts, fungal infections, claw toes, arch pain, Achilles tendonitis, flat feet, shin splints, stress fractures, sprains, sports injuries, and pain in the knee, hip and lower back.
We have, if needed, a wide range of specialists that we work with for referrals.
We have a strong emphisis of preventing presenting conditions from returning.
We use foot mobilisation and manual therapies as a mainstay of our practice. Strengthening and stretching programmes are often implimented as part of a treatment plan.
Orthoses are often a part of this as well, however not normally our first line of treatment if possible. This approach is not common amongst local podiatry clinics.
Dunedin Podiatry can custom make orthoses on site if they are needed and also have custom bespoke orthoses made by cad-com manufacture from labs that we work with.
In many instances short term use of simple in shoe modifications may be all that is needed. We are able todo these onsite.
